🏒 Kenora Arena Clock Instructions

Powering On

  • Turn the power switch on (right-hand side of the clock).

  • When prompted with “Do you want to start where turned off last?” select YES.


🆕 Starting a New Game

  1. Clear the last game (if needed):

    • Press SET

    • Press HOME SCORE, enter 0, then press YES

    • Press GUEST SCORE, enter 0, then press YES


Warm-Up Time

  1. Press SET, then TIME, enter 03:00, and press YES

  2. Press 0 for warm-up

  3. Flip the switch once to start the countdown

  4. When the clock reaches zero, flip the switch again to stop the buzzer


🏁 Starting the Game

  1. Press SET, then TIME, enter 15:00, and press YES

  2. Press 1 for Period 1

  3. Flip the switch once to start the clock when the referee drops the puck

  4. When the clock reaches zero, flip the switch once more to stop the buzzer


🔁 Second and Third Periods

  1. At the end of the period, flip the switch once to stop the buzzer (it will stop — promise!)

  2. Press SET, then TIME, enter 15:00, and press YES

  3. Press 2 for Period 2 (or 3 for Period 3)

  4. Flip the switch once to start the countdown when the referee drops the puck

  5. When the clock hits zero, flip the switch once more to stop the buzzer


🥅 Entering Goals

Home Team Scores:

  • Press HOME SCORE, then 1 (always press 1 per goal).
    The clock automatically adds up total goals.

Guest Team Scores:

  • Press GUEST SCORE, then 1 (always press 1 per goal).
    The clock automatically adds up total goals.

Fix a Mistake:

  • Press SET, then HOME SCORE or GUEST SCORE, and enter the correct score.


🚨 Penalties

Regular Penalty:

  • Press SET, then HOME PENALTY or GUEST PENALTY, enter 02:00, and press YES

  • Enter a player number (any two digits, such as 11 or 12)

  • Penalty clears automatically once time expires

To Clear a Penalty Manually:

  1. Press HOME PENALTY or GUEST PENALTY

  2. Press PENALTY CLEAR

  3. Press YES

Coincidental Penalties:

  • If two players (one from each team) are in the box at the same time, track manually on paper

  • Duration: 2 minutes

  • Release players after the whistle if it’s run time


💡 Tips

  • Always flip the switch once to stop the buzzer at the end of warm-ups or periods.

  • You can correct errors anytime using SET.

  • Stay calm — once you’ve done it once, it’s simple!
